Great Tool - chill out people

I use this every day. The developer acted quickly to fix the crashing problem, and manned up to notify us. Thats way more than I could say about some app developers. Apple Just has to approve the fixed version. Were so quick to judge. When I found the app crashing after the update, I thought, "Well, Im sure theyll fix it soon." Guess what, they did. In the mean time, a bunch of whiney, unhappy people are happy to trash a product rating with an inaccurate score. One star? Really? After you get your fixed version, will you fix your rating? Somehow I doubt it.

App wont launch

How ridiculous is this - I sent four notices and they ignore the problem!

Still not working

This app is still not working at all, crashes immediately at startup. I dont even have OS3 installed...Ive often found this app to be glitchy but usually workable. I cannot wait longer, Im buying a new converter app.

Waiting

Brett, I am happy to learn that youve submitted the fix for version 2.6.2 to Apple. I love your app - when its working. This is the second update I.ve installed that didnt work. It concerned me that I could not access your support site, your website, your Twitter accout or your Facebook account for any kind of assurance from you that you were working on a fix. My suggestion to a young businessman is to take the time to respond to your customers..... I look forward to 2.6.3. Hint to Converter users. Henceforth, update Converter on your iPhone ONLY. DO NOT UPDATE THE APP ON YOUR SYNCHING COMPUTER. This way, if the app is faulty, you can delete it on your iPhone, re-synch it to your computer and the old, working version will be re-installed on your iPhone. JohnSunday

Please

Please add the Kuwaiti Dinar to the currency!!!

Currency Converter

• Could you please add Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR) as well ?!! Thanks.

Getting better

The app is getting better, for me anyway. The crashes have been few and far between since I bought the iPhone 4. The only request I would like to see is pressure conversion. I use this a lot a work and a quick way to convert between pressure units would make this app my one stop shop.

Good functionality

The user interface isnt as intuitive as I expected, however, after you figure it put, the functionality is good to great.

Just what I needed.

Due to "pilot error," I recently lost most of my apps. I discovered that this was one I missed desperately until I could find & reinstall it. I use it a lot, mainly to answer friends questions.

Needs feet+inches option!

6.56168 is meaningless to most people who use feet, like the whole USA. Fractional inches would be good too, such as 5 3/16", though that would require a more complex interface to allow fractional number entry and to allow the user to configure the desired fractional numerator for displaying results (32, 64 etc.)

Currency List is Incomplete

Can you add the Turkish Lira? This seems like a significant omission.

Powerfully versatile

As one who travels weekly the ability to convert is absolutely a necessity. This one app does everything I need.

Latest update fixed my problems

A longstanding bug with specific currency conversions has been fixed. This app has a clean, intuitive interface, and functions as promised. It is my go to app for unit and currency conversion, and I highly recommend it!

Keeps crashing on iphone 3G

Does nothing but crash after the latest update.

Worth it!

It has everything I needed. Great application!

Crashes

Was great but latest update (2.7) crashes in five seconds on my iPod Touch.

Latest Update crashes

Like app and does what I need when working. Updated to the latest version today. Crashes on iphone 3G and itouch 8GB, both running 4.2.1 iOS. Works fine on 3Gs running iOS 4.3.3

Bug Reported

I reported that the App crashes on start up and received a positive response within 12 hours. They are working on a fix. Great customer service.

Architechies Responds

Converter 2.7.0 has a bug on iPhone 3G and second-generation iPod touch devices that causes it to crash shortly after launching. As a rule of thumb, if your device shows the multitasking panel when you press the home button twice, it will not crash. The crash occurs during currency updating, so Converter will not crash if you switch your device to Airplane Mode before launching it. The bug didnt appear in our development builds—it only occurs in "optimized" release builds, and only on older devices with ARMv6 chips. Due to a defect in our pre-release testing procedures, we tested a development build on the iPhone 3G instead of the release build we ended up shipping to the App Store. I apologize for the oversight. Weve corrected our procedures so we can more easily test release builds. A fix is included in Converter 2.7.1, which is currently waiting for review by Apple.
