Converter 2.7.0 has a bug on iPhone 3G and second-generation iPod touch devices that causes it to crash shortly after launching. As a rule of thumb, if your device shows the multitasking panel when you press the home button twice, it will not crash.

The crash occurs during currency updating, so Converter will not crash if you switch your device to Airplane Mode before launching it.

The bug didnt appear in our development builds—it only occurs in "optimized" release builds, and only on older devices with ARMv6 chips. Due to a defect in our pre-release testing procedures, we tested a development build on the iPhone 3G instead of the release build we ended up shipping to the App Store.

I apologize for the oversight. Weve corrected our procedures so we can more easily test release builds. A fix is included in Converter 2.7.1, which is currently waiting for review by Apple.
